LSS Disaster Response: Three 2008 Hurricanes!

Lutheran Social Services Disaster Response is working closely with local, state and federal authorities as well as local relief groups and congregations in assessing needs and developing a long-term response to Hurricane Ike.

LSSDR also continues to work with local, state and federal agencies, as well as other relief organizations, on long-term recovery for those affected by Hurricanes Dolly and Gustav.

Weighing only two pounds and abandoned at birth, this child won the hearts of an LSS foster family.  

LSS is expanding its services to seniors with Care-Connect, a new community-based service.

This year's LSS Christmas card, designed by an LSS children's center resident, is called "Bethlehem Star."
